Born in New York City in 1960, Pablo Jiménez grew up in the Caribbean. Raised in Puerto Rico, he spent part of his youth in St. Croix, one of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Pablo studied at the University of Puerto Rico, where he earned a BA in French. He entered Christian ministry when he was 20 years old, earning three degrees in theology: an MDiv from the Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico; an STM from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, Indiana; and a DMin from Columbia Theological Seminary.
His ministry has been rich and varied. Jiménez has served as a local pastor, a denominational executive, an administrator of religious nonprofit organizations, a seminary professor, an author, and a book editor. He is a scholar in the field of homiletics who has taught at over 20 theological schools and who now serves as associate professor and associate dean at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
