Patrick Johnson, PhD ’13, MDiv ’06, is senior pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Asheville, North Carolina. He is the author of The Mission of Preaching: Equipping the Community for Faithful Witness, as well as numerous articles and reviews related to preaching and missional theology. He has recently been a workshop presenter and convener at the NEXT National Gathering, as well as a featured preacher for the Montreat Summer Worship Series. He holds degrees from the College of William and Mary and Princeton Theological Seminary. While serving as a pastor in New Jersey, Johnson was an adjunct faculty member at Princeton Seminary, where he taught courses in preaching, speech communication, and worship. He enjoys participating regularly in the Engle Institute.
