wayne croftThe Rev. Dr. Wayne E. Croft, Sr., ThM ’00, serves as pastor of St. Paul’s Baptist Church in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and the Jeremiah A. Wright Sr. Associate Professor of Homiletics and Liturgics at United Lutheran Seminary. He is the author of the books Unexpected Calls to Unexpected Places, Pretty Poison: Seven Deadly Sins, The Motif of Hope in African American Preaching, and a forthcoming book in June 2020: A History of the Black Baptist Church: I Don’t Feel No Ways Tired

He earned an MDiv from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary; a ThM from Princeton Theological Seminary; and DMin, MPhil, and PhD degrees from Drew University. Croft recently received an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from Villanova University.
